Crypto Mining Company Riot Sold 700 Bitcoins in January

Cryptocurrency mining firm Riot sold 700 Bitcoins valued at $13.7 million in January.

According to the press release shared by the company, in total, Riot mined 740 BTC in January, up 62% from the same period in 2022, when the company mined 458 BTC.

Riot currently has 6,978 Bitcoins in its possession that it has mined entirely in-house.

In terms of the company's equipment, it has 82,656 mining devices with a total hashrate of 9.3 EH/s.

It currently has 17,040 miners out of service with a total hashrate of 2.5 EH/s that were damaged during the extreme weather that hit Texas in late December.

The company CEO Jason Les has stated:

"Despite a reduction in our deployed fleet and hash rate capacity driven by recent damage to our Rockdale Facility, Riot has continued to deliver new record highs."
