Salvoni heads to HSBC to bolster Canadian coverage

By Helene Durand

LONDON, Aug 17 (IFR) - HSBC has hired Andrew Salvoni as a director to bolster the bank's public sector coverage in Canada, according to a memo seen by IFR.

Salvoni joins from Morgan Stanley (Xetra: 885836 - news) where he had worked on the public sector syndicate desk for the past six years in London.

Before Morgan Stanley, Salvoni worked at HSBC in the public sector origination team.

In his new role, Salvoni will report to Hector Snuggs, head of public sector debt capital markets origination in the UK but will work closely with the global banking coverage teams.

Initially he remains based in the UK and will start in late October/early November. (Reporting by Helene Durand; editing by Sudip Roy, Alex Chambers)
