US Stock Markets Rise to All-Time High on Black Friday

Marathon Patent skyrockets after quarterly results

Wall Street is in green territory with the main indexes edging higher ahead of Black Friday. Investors should watch shares of retailers, such as Target (TGT, Financial), Amazon (AMZN, Financial) and Wal-Mart Stores (WMT, Financial) in an abbreviated trading session for today.

Marathon Patent Group Inc. (MARA, Financial)’s stock has opened nearly 56% higher on the back of the company posting its financial results for the third quarter. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company reported revenue growth of 279% to $163.000, while its net loss advanced to 23 cents per share from 86 cents a year earlier.

The main European stock markets traded mostly higher. The U.K.'s FTSE lost 0.06% while the Germany's Daxwas up 0.69%, the France's CAC rose 0.45% and the Spain's Ibex climbed 0.39%.

In Asia, Japan's Nikkei gained 0.12%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng closed up 0.53%, India’s BSE Sensexinched up 0.27% and China´s Shanghai climbed 0.06%.
