Swiss National Bank on the average sight deposits for the week ending 15 December

• Domestic banks CHF 479.9bn vs CHF 476.4bn prior

Domestic deposits improved slightly on the week, but nothing too much to read from it. Sight deposits are basically the accounts of banks that sit with the SNB and account for a major portion of liquidity within the financial system.

USD/CHF is lower on the day at 0.9893, mainly due to USD weakness. Meanwhile, EUR/CHF is at session highs of 1.1661 as the EUR finds some support against both the USD and CHF pairs in my earlier posts here and here respectively.
