The Southern Co. (NYSE: SO) traded down about 1.2% Tuesday and posted a new 52-week low of $44.31 after closing Friday at $44.84. The 52-week high is $53.51. Volume was over 7 million, about 40% above the daily average of around 5 million shares. The company had no specific news.

VEREIT Inc. (NYSE: VER) dropped about 0.5% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $7.38 after closing at $7.42 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $9.12. Volume was around 5.2 million, about 40% below the daily average of around 9.4 million. The company had no specific news.

Tesaro Inc. (NASDAQ: TSRO) dropped about 9.5% Tuesday to post a 52-week low of $63.00 after closing at $69.59 on Friday. The 52-week high is $192.94. Volume was around 2.6 million, nearly triple the daily average. The company had no specific news, but a couple of shareholder lawsuits were announced.

Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: KIM) fell about 0.5% Tuesday to match a 52-week low of $16.68 after closing at $16.76 on Friday. The 52-week high is $25.70. Volume of about 2.5 million was roughly equal to the daily average of around 3.9 million. The shopping center REIT had no specific news Tuesday.
