USD/JPY touches session low of 105.65
Meanwhile, the dollar index breaks below 90 and is at session lows for the day as well.
The dollar is falling a little across the board but it's mainly yen strength at play for the time being. EUR/JPY is at session lows of 130.20 as well, while GBP/JPY, AUD/JPY, and NZD/JPY are all closing in on the lows for the day too.
European traders are beginning to come in and the move is a follow through of that we have seen in Asia - following the reported firing of US national security adviser H.R. McMaster. That prompted yen pairs to take a spiral downwards on the day.
And just like earlier in the day, the move in USD/JPY goes in tandem with a drop in S&P 500 futures as well:
