- New Gold (NYSE:NGD) agrees to sell its Mesquite mine in California to Equinox Gold (EQXFF) for $158M, which NGD says was no longer a core asset.
- NGD says Mesquite averaged more than 135K oz./year of gold over the last 10 years since predecessor company Western Goldfields brought the mine back into production.
- Mesquite's gold deposit at year-end 2017 was estimated at 1.13M oz. of proven and probable reserves and an additional 1.18M oz. of measured and indicated resources.
