Kount CEO to Lead Panel on Evolution of Gaming Fraud at Money2020

"Hate the Fraudster, Not the Game" Gathers Experts to Discuss the Rise in Gaming Fraud as Global Video Game Industry Expected to Grow to $90B+

PR Newswire

BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kount, a leading provider of fraud prevention solutions, today announced that its CEO, Brad Wiskirchen, will lead a session on the evolution of gaming fraud at Money2020. Moderating the "Hate the Fraudster, Not the Game" panel as part of the show's Cybersecurity & Fraud Track, Wiskirchen will speak with gaming experts across the industry about the unique challenges of fraud within gaming and what companies will do to prepare as the market is expected to grow from $71.3 billion in 2015 to $90.1 billion in 2020[1].

The panel will feature Dean Takahashi (VentureBeat's Lead GamesBeat writer and gaming industry veteran); Nina Diatchenko (Fraud Operations Supervisor at Linden Lab); and Scott Adams (Former Director of Risk Management, Riot Games; Fraud & Risk Expert, FraudPVP). Panelists will discuss how the mainstream popularity of gaming and success of in-game spending have not only led gaming companies to boost revenue and profits by double digits, but also led them to become bigger targets for fraud. Real life examples, fast-changing fraud tactics, high rejection rates, and increasing competition are just some of the issues they'll delve into. The panel will take place on Monday, October 22nd from 2:40pm3:10pm PT in the Cyber Dome at Murano Ballroom, Level 3.

"For over a decade, Kount has helped gaming companies thwart fraud so that they're offering an optimal playing experience for their customers," said Wiskirchen (@bradwiskirchen). "Gaming fraud is an issue our company has long been passionate about, and I'm excited to return to Money2020 to talk about it with such an incredible group of panelists and reveal their unique insights as the space continues to boom."

Wiskirchen served as the Chairman of the Board of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 2014 and 2015. He was a member of the board for three years prior to serving as the Chairman. Today, Wiskirchen serves on the High-Level Advisory Group of the International Monetary Fund's Interdepartmental Working Group on Finance and Technology. Along with the panel, Kount will also host a booth (#1243) on the Money2020 show floor.
