Govt Launches Digital Voter ID Cards: How To Download e-EPIC?
On Monday, the Election Commission will roll out the 'e-EPIC', a non-editable and secure PDF version of the electoral photo identity card (EPIC) as part of National Voters' Day.
This new digital version of the card can be availed by voters in the five upcoming state elections on their mobile phones or in a self-printable form on the computer. The e-EPIC facility will be launched by law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, the 'guest of honour' at EC's 2021 National Voters' Day event on Monday.
What is e-EPIC?
The e-EPIC is a secure portable document format (PDF) version of the EPIC which can be downloaded on mobile or in a self-printable form on the computer.
While PCV EPIC is being issued currently, voters can store the card on their mobile phones, besides uploading it as a PDF on Digi Locker or print it for self-lamination.

One can download e-EPIC from Voter Portal or Voter Helpline mobile App or NVSP

How to download e-EPIC or digital voter ID card?
Voters have to register or login on Voter Portal. From the menu navigation, one can click on download e-EPIC and enter the EPIC number or Form Reference Number.
Users are then required to verify with OTP sent on registered mobile number (if mobile number registered with e-roll) and click on download e-EPIC.
If the voter's mobile number not registered in Eroll, click on e-KYC to complete the KYC first. Pass the face liveness verification and update your mobile number to complete KYC.
After KYC, a voter can download e-EPIC.
Note that all new electors registered during special summary revision 2021 (i.e. those who applied during Nov-Dec 2020) will be and whose provided mobile number while applying will get an SMS and may download e-EPIC between 25 January and 31 January 2021.
Other general voters who have a valid EPIC Number can download e-EPIC after 1 February 2021.
