- AT&T (T +0.3%) has won a $725M contract to modernize the data network at the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
- The communications giant will deliver a "modernized data communications platform that will serve as a foundation for innovative VA technology capabilities to drive mission outcomes," it says.
- It will work with the VA to "continuously" transform its IP-based data network, offering capabilities including Wide Area Networking, Virtual Private Networking and Managed Network services.
- The deal is a $725M-over-12-years task order through the GSA's Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract.
- AT&T shares have been battling their 200-day simple moving average of late.
