- Chalk up another victory for Airbus (OTCPK:EADSY), as German leisure airline Condor says it will order 16 Airbus A330neo aircraft to replace a wide-bodied fleet of Boeing (NYSE:BA) 767 jets.
- Condor says it expects the first aircraft in fall 2022, with the replacement of the entire long-haul fleet scheduled to be completed by mid-2024.
- The deal comes a day after European Union regulators approved €525.3M ($619.3M) in German aid for Condor that will help the airline restructure.
- Reuters reported earlier today that Airbus also is in talks to replace Boeing jets at another European leisure carrier, U.K. airline Jet2.
