Dionne Warwick, who is an American singer, actress, television host, and former Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, is set to headline Dogecoin’s “Dogepalooza” festival in October.

According to the event’s website, DOGE supporters are planning to gather in celebration of the meme-based cryptocurrency with a festival held in Sugar Land, Texas on October 9. Dogepalooza, which includes live music, food and drink, is a community-driven event that will also feature educational venues for learning about Dogecoin.

The event’s organizers intend to use the festival as a tool for spreading mainstream adoption of $DOGE while also helping to change the world by “embracing and living Dogecoin’s motto of “Do Only Good Everyday.”

The Sugar Land festival is set to be the first of several Dogepalooza events that will take place in multiple cities and countries around the globe. The site describes the event as an “authentic community driven Dogecoin Festival” that fans of the coin will not want to miss out on.”

The website continues:

Dogecoin has the potential to be the future currency of Earth, Mars and beyond.

Warwick, a legend in the soul music world, has previously shown her support for DOGE with a tweet in June featuring the memecoin. Warwick also described her role in the upcoming festival as “meaningful.”

Tickets to the event are currently priced at $125 for general admission, $300 for VIP, and $50 for children aged 4 – 12.
