Macy's (M+2.5%) plans for a minor reduction in store hours for the remainder of January to adjust for staff shortages, which may tied to positive COVID cases.
The department store operator will be open from Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., compared to a prior schedule at most locations of an opening at 10 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m. Store hours for Friday through Sunday when a majority of in-person sales take place will be the same.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the CDC and jurisdictional guidelines as well as keep enhanced safety and wellness procedures in place," states a Macy's spokesperson.
