PARIS (Reuters) – French spirits maker Pernod Ricard expects the coming weeks in China to remain difficult amid restrictions tied to the COVID-19 crisis in the country, its Chief Financial Officer told Reuters on Thursday.

“March was very impacted by the start of COVID restrictions and we are expecting an impact in the fourth quarter. Much will depend on how fast these restrictions can be lifted but the coming weeks may be difficult. This is part of our forecasts for the year,” Helene de Tissot told Reuters by phone.
